The Spider-Man cameo that you never knew about

screen-poster

If you thought that Tom Holland's Spider-Man had made his MCU debut in last year's Captain America: Civil War, then think again.

It turns out the sneaky web-crawler in fact turned up in 2010 Marvel blockbuster Iron Man 2, right under everyone's nose as a young whippersnapper.

Towards the end of the movie, once Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) has saved the day we see him rescue a young child from the baddies, commenting "Nice work, kid". And Holland has confirmed to The Huffington Post that this character was indeed his Spider-Man as a sprog.

"I can confirm that is Peter Parker," Holland states. "I can confirm that, as of today. I literally had a conversation with Kevin Feige only 20 minutes ago. Maybe I’ve just done a big old spoiler, but it’s out there now."

How about that? It goes to show the Stark/Parker bond isn't as unexpected as we thought. Spider-Man: Homecoming is released on 7th July.
