Check it out! Ron Howard shares new Chewie photo from Han Solo set

In the wake of Phil Lord and Chris Miller's firing from the Han Solo movie, we're anxious to see how things are getting underway with the Star Wars spinoff.

Luckily erstwhile replacement director Ron Howard, veteran of classics like Splash and Apollo 13, looks to have got things back on track. So much so that he's revealed this nifty behind the scenes shot of a certain Chewbacca watching the rushes from production. Check out his Twitter pic below.

Finnish basketball player Joonas Suotamo continues in the role of the ever-loyal Wookie, having shared the part with series veteran Peter Mayhew in The Force Awakens (he will do so again in this year's The Last Jedi).

We can only speculate on the origins of Chewie and Han's (Alden Ehrenreich) first meeting in the movie. Something tells us it'll get a bit hairy... Who knows, the film may begin with them already as best buds.

Howard is currently overseeing the end of principal photography and also this summer's planned reshoots, with the movie reportedly on course for its 25th May 2018 release date.
