Adorable new poster for Paddington movie features beloved Peruvian bear

screen-poster

A new poster for the Paddington movie has been released (above), and it made all of us at Cineworld go “awwwww”.

While I don’t remember Paddington from the first time around (he made his first appearance in a series of books in the 1950s), I have very fond memories of watching repeats of the 1970s television adaptation.

The new poster for the Paddington movie is a simple affair, yet it manages to convey his appeal – a mix of childhood innocence and grown-up knowingness. And he has such an endearing face.

Unlike the 1970s TV series, which featured a live-action Paddington against a two-dimensional, hand-drawn background, the film will be shot in live-action but Paddington will be brought to life with the latest in computer animation.

The new movie will feature Colin Firth’s dulcet tones as the voice of Paddington, with support from a list of stars, including Nicole Kidman, Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Jim Broadbent and Peter Capaldi. It’s poised for a December release.

What do you think of the new poster? Did it make you go, ‘He’s so adorable!’ like my fellow Cineworld blogger Sean? Tell us in the comments below…
