It's Ocean's Eleven, but not as we know it... In fact, subtract three numbers from that title and you get Ocean's 8, a star-studded extension of the George Clooney-Steven Soderbergh caper movie trilogy that began in 2001 and concluded in 2007.
This time we get a twist on the material in the form of an all-new ensemble, spearheaded by Sandra Bullock as Debbie Ocean, estranged sister of the earlier trilogy's master thief, Danny (played by Clooney).
As Debbie attempts to pull off the heist of the century at New York City's star-studded annual Met Gala, she's going to need to pull in some help. Step forward sidekick Cate Blanchett, costume designer Helena Bonham Carter, computer hacker Rihanna, former-crim-turned-mother Sarah Paulson, pickpocket Awkwafina and jewellery forging expert Mindy Kaling.
Their mark: necklace-sporting socialite Anne Hathaway, whose wares fetch the value of some $150,000,000. Plus, Matt Damon is reprising his role as Linus Caldwell from the earlier films.
It all looks as slick, intricate and finger-snappingly cool as we've come to expect from an Ocean's movie – check out the trailer below. Ocean's 8 is released on 22nd June 2018.
