Five things we learned from the jaw-dropping new Justice League trailer

screen-poster

We’ve seen an all-too-brief Comic Con teaser, but this week the first full-length trailer dropped for one of the most hotly anticipated superhero movies of the year – Justice League. Bringing together Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, the Flash, Cyborg and Superman, the League are DC Comics’ premier superhero team and Warner Bros are obviously hoping that the movie will do for DC what the Avengers movies did more Marvel.

Here are five things we noticed...

1) It’ll be funnier than Batman v Superman

Whereas Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was grim and gritty, Justice League seems to found its funny bone. We’re not saying it’ll be a full-on laugh-fest, but it certainly looks to have a breezier tone than its sister movie.

2) They’re keeping Superman secret

We know Superman is in the movie – Henry Cavill has been spotted on set and Superman, in the comics, is an integral member of the Justice League. But why no Supes in the trailer? Well, he did die at the end of Batman v Superman, and so maybe the plot of Justice League is about the gang attempting to revive the Man of Steel.

3) Ezra Miller looks like he’ll be brilliant as the Flash

Try to forget Grant Gustin as TV’s Flash, as it looks like Ezra Miller is going to OWN the role of Barry Allen, the police forensic investigator who can move at superhuman speeds.

4) This is DC’s answer to the Avengers

If you love Marvel’s Avengers films, then you’re gonna go crazy for the Justice League. Did you know, though, that DC’s Justice League were created BEFORE the Avengers? Yes, the team – then made up of Batman, Aquaman, the Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Superman and Wonder Woman – first appeared in 1960, with the Avengers coming along three years later.

5) You’re gonna love Aquaman

We’ve not yet gotten a proper look at Jason Momoa’s Aquaman. The king of Atlantis, Aquaman has never appeared on the big screen before (though a TV pilot was made in 2006), so it’s mega exciting to see Game of Thrones’ Khal Drogo clasping the famous trident.

Excited about Justice League? Well, remember we’ve got Wonder Woman first, before Justice League blasts into Cineworld on 17th November.
