Four months out from Star Wars: The Last Jedi and the storyline remains as mysterious as ever.
And it gets a whole lot more cryptic with this retweeted image of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) going all brooding on us. Is this a sign he's about to transition to the Dark Side?
The shot comes from Hungarian movie magazine 'Cinemania Mozimánia' and has already sent the interweb abuzz with speculation. It reinforces the gloomier, tortured Luke hinted at in the trailer, one who believes "it's time for the Jedi to end".
Has his self-imposed isolation on the island of Ahch-To caused him to drift from the side of good? And what does this mean for his new protege Rey (Daisy Ridley)?
The latter tracked him down at the end of The Force Awakens and is poised to enter Jedi training so she can face the dreaded Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), one of the architects of Luke's apparent downfall.
"Luke changed, I think, more than the other characters in the original trilogy, from callow farm boy to a Jedi in training to finally a Jedi master," Hamill tells The Associated Press. "What you're talking about is what really fascinated me. Between Return Of The Jedi and Force Awakens, there's just decades of history that's unknown."
We can't wait for that history to be revealed when Star Wars: The Last Jedi is finally released on 15th December.
