Jurassic World 2 planned: the park re-opens

Left breathless after the awesome dino onslaught of this summer's Jurassic World? Well brace yourselves – cos Jurassic World 2 is stomping onto screens in 2018, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Yes, the park is set to re-open with stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard back for more prehistoric mayhem. The film will be co-written by Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow, with Steven Spielberg again producing. No director has been assigned to wrangle the giant lizards as of yet.

Given Jurassic World has squashed this summer's box office by taking an enormous $1.5 billion to date, news of a sequel is hardly surprising – but very exciting. What will the story be? Surely no-one would be stupid enough to build another theme park... would they?

More details on Jurassic World 2 as they come in. And don't forget about the awesome blockbusters arriving this summer, including Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation on 31st July. Check out the trailer below.
