Meet Sadness in new video for Pixar animation Inside Out

Ever had one of those days where you feel just a little bit... down? Well, it's time to meet the emotion responsible in this new video for Pixar's delightful-looking animation Inside Out.

Say hello to Sadness, one of the primary emotions featuring in Pixar's imaginative new adventure. Voiced by actress Phyllis Smith (best known as put-upon Phyllis in the American version of The Office), Sadness is just one of the emotions governing the behaviour of young girl Casey, who's just started at a new school after moving to San Francisco with her parents.

Sadness' emotional cohorts include Joy, Anger, Fear and Disgust, all of whom reside within Casey's visually extraordinary and colourful cranium. Through their actions, Casey learns to navigate the joyous highs and moving lows of everyday life.

Take a look at the video and marvel at the typically ambitious premise of Pixar's latest movie. Will this match up to the likes of Toy Story and Finding Nemo? Only time will tell.

Check back on the blog as we bring you the buzz from the Inside Out world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. The movie is released on 24th July.
