P.T. Barnum was no ordinary ringleader – he was the man that turned the 20th century circus into a high-wire, eye-popping art form. And his remarkable story will soon be coming to the big screen near you in epic musical The Greatest Showman, fronted by veteran song and dance man Hugh Jackman.
Featuring songs by La La Land sensations Pasek and Paul the movie traces Barnum's rise to become the most famous entertainer on the planet, all courtesy of his travelling show 'Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus'.
With Jackman promising to give it plenty of Les Mis gusto the excellent supporting cast includes Oscar nominee Michelle Williams as Barnum's wife Charity, with additional star power coming from Zac Efron, Rebecca Ferguson and Spider-Man: Homecoming's Zendaya.
La La Land proved that there was still plenty of life left in the grandiose Hollywood musical – can The Greatest Showman pull off the same trick? With the movie out on 26th December check out the new trailer below and judge for yourselves.
