What is Force Friday?
Put simply it's the annual Disney celebration of all things Star Wars, hinging on the reveal of brand new merchandise that offers details about upcoming movies and characters in the series.
So who's been revealed this year?
We've got fresh looks at Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Rey (Daisy Ridley), Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis). And they're not the only ones who have been proudly unveiled.
So what do we know??
We can see from the above image that Rey is wielding Luke's signature blue lightsaber, indicating her Jedi training and hopeful progress towards the light side of the Force. Kylo Ren meanwhile sports dramatic new armour, resulting from the aftermath of his battle in The Force Awakens with Rey. In certain images we can also see he's sporting a new mask, his previous one having been destroyed.
It's all about Snoke though, right?
Perhaps unsurprisingly given he's the most enigmatic character, Snoke is gathering lots of attention. We only saw him as a spectral hologram in The Force Awakens but the Force Friday II merch gives us the clearest look yet at his gold-cloaked physical form, namely his towering height and chilling visage that indicates he's far from human.
Who are the red dudes?
These are Snoke's intimidating Praetorian guards. The same name was afforded to those in ancient Roman times, reinforcing the mystical and historical connections surging through the Star Wars universe. Imagine an upgrading of Emperor Palpatine's Imperial Guards from the original trilogy.
So who else has been revealed?
Intriguingly we've got an undercover Finn (John Boyega) sporting a First Order uniform (as seen in the trailer). It'll be fascinating to see how he infiltrates his former work environment along with Resistance fighter Rose (Kelly Marie Tran), who also gets her own action figure.
Meanwhile dashing X-Wing pilot Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) appears to be unleashing his inner Han Solo with what looks like a new jacket. Let's not forget he bequeathed his original one to Finn in The Force Awakens.
Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie) meanwhile looks as imposing as ever with her amour and staff and there's another baton-wielding Stormtrooper, which may indicate a continuation of the on-on-one "traitor" fight from The Force Awakens.
Don't stop now! Who else is there?
The below image reveals the return of fan favourite BB-8, plus there's a whole new droid unit, the black-coloured BB-9E. We also have the comeback of the iconic R2-D2, adorable new characters in the form of the Porgs and many recognisable vehicles from the original trilogy besides the Millenium Falcon. These include the AT-ATs seen in The Empire Strikes Back's Battle of Hoth.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi awakens on 14th December.
