An epic battle against evil gets underway in the first trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
J.K. Rowling's elaborate Harry Potter prequel continues apace following the events of the 2016 movie. The first Fantastic Beasts movie saw dark wizard Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) unmasked, his quest to recruit loyal followers seemingly thwarted. At the same time, magiozoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) left New York, returning to the Ministry of Magic while aiming to complete his manuscript.
In the sequel, Grindelwald has escaped from custody and continues his quest to marshal the forces of darkness. Meanwhile, Newt must team up with former Hogwarts mentor Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law), travel to Paris and stop his nemesis in his tracks. This puts Newt on a collision course with former allies Tina (Katherine Waterston) and Jacob (Dan Fogler).
David Yates is back behind the camera and Rowling is once more on scripting duties, with James Newton Howard returning to score. New faces include Zoe Kravitz as Leta Lestrange (seen in a very brief cameo in the first film) and Claudia Kim playing a mysterious Maledictus.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is released on 16th November. Check out the first trailer below.
