Welcome to this week's trailer trawl, encompassing World War II epics, Gru threequels and ape mayhem.
Christopher Nolan, helmer of the Dark Knight trilogy, Memento, Inception, The Prestige, Insomnia and Interstellar, returns in 2017 with his passion project: a dramatisation of the World War II evacuation of Dunkirk in May and June 1940. As if the prospect of one of our greatest directors turning his attention to real-life wasn't exciting enough, there's a seriously impressive cast led by Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Kenneth Branagh, Mark Rylance and Harry Styles. Yes, him out of One Direction.
Despicable Me 3
Gru and the Minions are back for a third helping of Despicable fun but frankly all our attention's on new nemesis Balthazar Bratt, the brilliantly big-haired baddie who thinks the eighties never stopped happening. He's voiced by South Park co-creator Trey Parker and you can check him out in the trailer below.
War for the Planet of the Apes
Apes, together, strong! Will it be a case of third time's the charm for the hugely successful Apes series? One thing's for sure, this new trailer for Caesar's return promises more apocalyptic action than ever before as his band of intelligent simians marshal all-out war against the humans, here represented by an insurgent and villainous Woody Harrelson.
