Oh hai, Unlimited members! We're delighted to announce our advance screening of the rib-tickling movie-about-moviemaking The Disaster Artist, showing on 27th November.
James Franco both directs and stars as filmmaker Tommy Wiseau, exploring the making of the latter's directorial debut The Room, regarded as 'the Citizen Kane of bad movies'.
Infamous for its murky production history, rampant continuity errors and Wiseau's bizarre central performance, The Room has subsequently defied all expectations to become one of the world's biggest cult sensations, inspiring co-star Greg Sestero's tell-all book The Disaster Artist and this subsequent movie adaptation. Check out the trailer below.
Critics have agreed that far from poking fun at Wiseau, this is an affectionate and hugely likeable ode to the creative process, and the battle to see one's vision through to the end.
The Disaster Artist screens in advance on 27th November at all Cineworld sites except for Bromley, Cheltenham Screening Rooms, Glasgow Science Centre and Leicester Square.
