First look! Ryan Reynolds unveils Deadpool 2 Cable image

screen-poster

Ryan Reynolds continues to tear down those Deadpool walls with this newly tweeted image of the all-important Cable.

As played by a seriously badass-looking Josh Brolin, the fan favourite possesses a bionic eye, some serious muscles... and a teddy bear? Little wonder Mr. Pool is being billed as your 'premium Cable provider'.

Reynolds also tweeted out another shot that may give us a flavour of Cable's character in the movie, pitching him as 'that one, heavily armed, grumpy uncle from the future'.

Given that Brolin did grumpy tremendously well in Men in Black 3 when portraying young Tommy Lee Jones, we'd say this is excellent news. (He also has a foot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as all-powerful Avengers: Infinity War villain Thanos.)

A time-travelling hardass, Cable is set to bring extra dimensions of fun to next year's Deadpool sequel, along with the recently revealed Domino (played by Zazie Beetz).

What do you think of the casting? Is this the Cable of your dreams come true? Let us know @Cineworld.

Deadpool 2 is released on 1st June 2018.
