First trailer for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

screen-poster

Take a look at the first trailer for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, due for release in Cineworld on 18 June 2014.

The end of 2011 hit Rise of the Planet of the Apes left us on a tantalising cliffhanger, with intelligent simian Caesar (Andy Serkis) leading his ape cohorts to freedom.

Things appear to be far less rosy for Caesar in the new trailer. A forceful speech (presumably from Gary Oldman's character Dreyfus) appears to indicate that full-scale war is brewing between human and ape factions.

We then get our first reveal of Caesar as the camera pulls back from a close-up in a wide shot – revealing him to be surrounded by his fellow apes. Yes, it seems like conflict is definitely on the cards!
