Creepy new trailer for Guillermo del Toro horror Crimson Peak

screen-poster

Thor's Tom Hiddleston has more than a few skeletons in his closet in the new trailer for Guillermo del Toro's gothic horror, Crimson Peak.

The latest movie from the Pan's Labyrinth and Hellboy director, Crimson Peak stars Hiddleston as the dashing Sir Thomas Sharpe, who has just become wed to the naive, comely Edith Cushing (Mia Wasikowska). When Edith relocates with Thomas to his isolated, brooding country house, she's introduced to his mysterious sister Lady Lucille (Jessica Chastain) – and soon makes some horrifying discoveries about her new husband...

Mixing classic ghost stories like The Haunting with more than a dash of Alfred Hitchcock's Rebecca and del Toro's own penchant for twisted, memorable imagery (watch out for the blood pouring from the bathtaps), there's every chance this could prove a spine-tingling, terrifying treat. Plus, the trailer comes complete with a ringing endorsement from renowned writer of The Shining, Stephen King. Need we say more?

Take a look at the trailer and prepare for the release of Crimson Peak on 16th October.
