Rounding up your trio of Cineworld Unlimited screenings this autumn

screen-poster

Autumn is here, the nights are setting in early and the weather's on the turn. And at Cineworld, we've got a trio of must-see Unlimited screenings to keep you occupied over the next couple of months.

First up is Luce, a thought-provoking and harrowing character study that screens on 29th October. The critically acclaimed movie, which currently stands at 92% on Rotten Tomatoes, stars Naomi Watts and Tim Roth as a married couple whose relationship with their adopted son starts to fracture.

Rising star Kelvin Harrison Jr. (It Comes at Night) stuns as the eponymous Luce, who was rescued from a war zone as a child and taken into the bosom of comfortable, middle-class America, growing up to become an apparently well-adjusted young man. However, Luce's psychological state comes into question after he pens a disturbing school essay.

Oscar-winner Octavia Spencer (The Shape of Water) co-stars as the teacher who comes to suspect her star student is not all he seems – but can she convince the parents?

Then we have sweeping airborne adventure The Aeronauts, which screens in IMAX on 1st November and standard widescreen on 3rd November.

The movie is a mixture of fact and fiction, exploring the real-life exploits of 19th century meteorologist James Glashier (EddieRedmayne). In a bid to learn more about our climate, he takes to the skies with help from pilot Amelia Wren (Felicity Jones), whose gas-powered balloon takes them soaring into the heavens. Their adventure takes them higher than anyone has ever gone before, with eye-widening vistas taking in the Earth's tropopause before suddenly being rent asunder by violent storms. Will they make it back alive?

And finally, Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson delivers the head-twistingly hilarious whoddunit Knives Out. The movie screens on 25th November, and stars Daniel Craig as a detective tasked with solving an apparently impossible murder.

Craig leads as wry detective Benoit Blanc, who is investigating the death of crime writer and wealthy patriarch Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer). So which of his family members committed the appalling crime? Rounding up the usual suspects is where the fun begins.

Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette, Don Johnson, Michael Shannon, Chris Evans, Ana De Armas, Jaeden Martell, Lakeith Stanfield and Katherine Langford make up one of the most formidable ensembles of 2019, bickering and crabbing their way to a conclusion that critics say will have everyone stunned.
