It's been met with an impressive six Oscar nominations, including Best Picture and Best Director. It was listed as Cineworld blog's favourite film of 2014. And from tomorrow, Richard Linklater's masterful coming-of-age drama Boyhood is set to get a week-long re-release in selected Cineworld cinemas across the UK.
The first film to ever be shot successively across 12 years, utilising the same actors who gradually age and mature in front of us, Linklater's humane masterpiece is the story of young Mason (Ellar Coltrane), as he grows from the age of six to eighteen. The film also encompasses the lives of his sister (Lorelei Linklater), his mother (Patricia Arquette) and his estranged father (Ethan Hawke).
