Feast your peepers on this spectacular new Blade Runner 2049 trailer

screen-poster

Is Blade Runner 2049 set to be the most eye-scorchingly beautiful movie of the year? If this new trailer is anything to go by, it's certainly up there.

Drenched in pulsating hues of purple, orange and blue, intersected with shadow and smoke, the new teaser for Denis Villeneuve's sequel finally starts to fill in the gaps.

For starters, we learn that rather than being set in Los Angeles, this new movie casts its net wider and establishes the location as California, 2049.

We also get our first glimpse at Dave Bautista's is he/isn't he a replicant character, who appears key in guiding Ryan Gosling's K towards the elusive Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford).

The most potent line of all comes from the latter when he remarks about going into hiding: "We were being hunted." Is this finally going to answer whether Ford's character is indeed a replicant himself? Check out the trailer and make up your own mind. The movie's out on 6th October.
