We're just four weeks away from what is potentially Marvel's most radical blockbuster so far. We are of course talking about Black Panther, the debut standalone movie for noble ruler T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) and his mysterious kingdom of Wakanda.
It's been nearly two years since Wakanda was teased at the end of Captain America: Civil War. And in the last month, Wakanda's presence in the Avengers: Infinity War trailer has only stoked anticipation even further.
It's even set a new record on retail website Fandango, selling more advance tickets in 24 hours than any other Marvel movie and beating previous record holder Civil War. Here's the tweet from editor Erik Davis confirming the news:
As if all that wasn't enough, the presence of Creed director Ryan Coogler, plus the terrific cast of Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Daniel Kaluuya, Danai Gurira, Angela Bassett and Forrest Whitaker, is more than enough reason to be excited.
But don't take our word for it. Here's a behind the scenes video in which Coogler, Boseman, Jordan and character creator Stan Lee explore T'Challa's journey from comic book to screen, and why he's about to make an enormous impact on the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Black Panther is released on 13th February. Check out our guide to Black Panther's cast of Wakandan characters.
