Birds of Prey: experience Harley Quinn in ScreenX at Cineworld

Margot Robbie is back as the anarchic Harley Quinn in comic book movie Birds of Prey. Robbie reprises the role she made iconic in 2016's Suicide Squad, only this time the mischievous Quinn is leading her own flock of vigilantes against the villainous Black Mask (Ewan McGregor).

Directed by Cathy Yan, the movie strikes a blow for equality, levelling the male-oriented comic book playing field with a female director and female-led cast. Back up Robbie are the likes of Rosie Perez, Jurnee Smollet-Bell, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Ella Jay Basco.

The film occupies a surreal, darkly comic world of ultraviolence and oddball humour, in which scenes involving Quinn's pet hyena suddenly give way to bullet-ridden shootout sequences. The film is designed to keep audiences on their toes, all the more so when you experience the movie in ScreenX at Cineworld.

ScreenX is the world’s first multi-projection theatre technology, providing a 270-degree viewing experience that projects onto the screen and side walls of the cinema. The immersive technology amalgamates several images into one single picture which extends from the central screen outwards, enabling audiences to feel part of the film. The side walls of the cinema are designed to have the brightness and colour perfectly match the main screen content, and speakers are placed specifically to achieve optimum sound and a truly impactful movie experience.

Here's a side-by-side comparison between a standard 2D widescreen presentation, and a ScreenX presentation.
