Will British films Pride, '71 and Mr. Turner be up for the BAFTA Awards 2015?

screen-poster

Summer's nearly at an end. And in movieland, that can only mean one thing – blockbuster season's over and awards season is starting to get into gear. Over the coming months, we'll be exploring the films in contention for next year's Oscars, BAFTAs and Golden Globes, looking at potential heavy-hitters and dark horses that could creep up on us unawares.

I've already speculated on whether Robert Downey Jr./Robert Duvall drama The Judge stands a chance at the Academy Awards. Today, I'm taking a closer look at three upcoming British films that could win the hearts of BAFTA voters when the ceremony gets underway next February – Pride, '71 and Mr. Turner.
