In-keeping with the recent Mavel trend of iconic actors playing key roles (see Robert Redford in Captain America: The Winter Soldier), Michael Douglas now steps up to the plate in the forthcoming Ant-Man.
The Daily Superhero recently posted this Tweet (via @DailyMailCeleb) that shows the actor suited and booted on set.

Douglas, Oscar-winner for producing One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Next back in 1975 and also for playing Gordon Gekko in 1987's Wall Street, plays scientist Hank Pym in the film. His character is the original Ant-Man, who then mentors thief Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) in the ways of becoming a new incarnation of the superhero.
Directed by Peyton Reed (who famously took over from Edgar Wright), Ant-Man blasts into Cineworld on 17th July.
