Movie legend Harrison Ford cameos in Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. He plays hard-headed station manager who fires Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell), describing him as "the worst news anchor ever"!
Let's face it – Harrison is probably the last person you'd expect to see in this sort of movie. Forever immortalised as Indiana Jones and Han Solo in the original Star Wars trilogy, surely he's a bit too… well... serious for a film featuring 'Frat Pack' stars Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and others. Isn't he?
Well, not necessarily. This isn't Harrison's first experience with comedy – or indeed playing a news anchor. In 2011's Morning Glory, he delivered a memorably funny performance as a crotchety newscaster alongside Rachel McAdams and Diane Keaton.
So can we expect to be tickled by his appearance in Anchorman 2? "I hope it's a little different," he said. "One hates to repeat themselves. They asked me to do it, before they knew that I had done Morning Glory."
Off-camera, the star is well known for his bone dry sense of humour. As proof, watch him being interviewed for Cowboys and Aliens by that film's director Jon Favreau. It's hilarious stuff – especially Ford's story about piloting a terrified Favreau in his own private helicopter!
