MET Opera

Be transported to New York’s world-famous Metropolitan Opera House with a series of live performance broadcasts at your local Cineworld.

The Met Opera’s Live in HD series has been bringing the drama and spectacle of live opera to big screens worldwide since 2006, attracting rave reviews from critics. Shot using at least 10 high-definition cameras, allowing for close-ups of performers, and broadcast note by note in thrilling Dolby digital surround sound, they’re as close as you can get to a seat at the Met without a transatlantic flight. (Some fans even dress up for the occasion!)

During the intervals, cinema audiences are also treated to special features, including backstage footage and interviews with star performers.
