Chris Hemsworth heads the cast in this action-packed remake of the '80s classic. On leave from the Marines, Jed (Chris Hemsworth) returns to his hometown of Spokane, Washington where he's reunited with his brother, college football star Matt (Josh Peck). However, their happy reunion is interrupted when Spokane is overrun by paratroopers and military aircraft - signalling the start of a full-blown invasion! Banding together with Robert (Josh Hutcherson), Toni (Adrianne Palicki) and Erica (Isabel Lucas), the brothers form a guerrilla army to fight back against the invaders. The battle is on to defend their country - whatever the cost. Back in 1984, John Milius' Red Dawn pitted a group of American teens against invading Communist forces. Now the story has been brought up to date with a sinister new enemy. Veteran stunt co-ordinator Dan Bradley (The Bourne Ultimatum) makes his directorial debut with this fast-paced remake with a hot young cast headed by man-of-the-moment Hemsworth.
