Synopsis
Russell Crowe stars alongside RZA in this astonishing martial arts epic inspired by classic kung fu movies. A lone outsider in 19th century China's Jungle Village, the Blacksmith (RZA) is forced to forge deadly weapons by various tribal factions. Each terrifying tool of destruction is even more elaborate than the last. But when the seven clans' rivalry boils over into outright war just as a government shipment of gold is due to arrive, the stranger makes a move to save his adopted people. Channelling an ancient energy, he transforms himself into a human weapon. Now he must unite the villagers against the traitor who would destroy them all. Wu-Tang Clan leader RZA makes a spectacular debut as director and leading man in an action-adventure co-written with 'Hostel' director Eli Roth. This Quentin Tarantino presentation also boasts an all-star international cast led by Russell Crowe and Lucy Liu.
