Synopsis

Colin Firth leads an all-star cast in this hilarious Coen brothers-scripted remake of a classic 60s conman caper. For years, Harry Deane (Colin Firth) has suffered multiple indignities as an employee of England's richest man, Lionel Shahbandar (Alan Rickman). But now he's finally going to get his revenge. The vulgar multi-billionaire is an avid art collector who has spent years searching for Monet's 'Haystacks'. Harry plans to sell him a fake. But to do that, he needs an accomplice. Texas rodeo queen PJ Puznowski (Cameron Diaz) accepts £500,000 to pose as a woman whose grandfather liberated the painting at the end of WWII. But when she arrives in the UK to seal the deal, things start to go disastrously wrong for hapless Harry! This madcap comedy is scripted by Joel and Ethan Coen, with 'The Last Station' director Michael Hoffman at the helm. It's based on the much-loved 1966 Michael Caine film of the same title.
