How much is the price rise?

The price has gone up by 50p a month (50c in ROI).

How will this affect me?

All new customers who register for Unlimited on or after 15th July 2014 will pay the new price.

All existing customers will pay the new price once they have completed a full 12 months on their current price. So for example if you have been paying £15.90 since April 2013, you will pay the new price from July 2014.

If you have been an Unlimited customer for fewer than 12 months on 15th July 2014 and pay by monthly direct debit, the price increase will only apply to you from the date you pay for your 13th month of membership.

Essentially - you should not be affected by this price increase more than once in a 12 month period.

If you pay for your Unlimited membership under the annual payment plan (ie 12 months’ fee paid up front), the price increase will apply only when you renew your membership for the first time on or after 15th July 2014.

We are giving all Unlimited members at least one full month’s notice in writing (by letter or email) before they are affected by the price increase, as we are required to do by the current terms and conditions. Please ensure that your contact details are up to date and contact the Unlimited Helpline on 0844 372 3445* from the UK or 0818 304 204 from the Republic of Ireland (Monday to Sunday 10am to 10pm) to let us know of any changes of email/address as they occur.

Do I need to do anything?

If you pay by direct debit - you don’t need to do anything.

If I’m thinking of cancelling what should I do?

If you wish to cancel and have been an Unlimited member for more than 12 months, then you will need to give us 1 month’s notice. Please call the Unlimited Helpline on 0844 372 3445* from the UK or 0818 304 204 from Ireland (Monday to Sunday 10am to 10pm) who will guide you through the process.

I’ve only just joined - what does this mean for me?

Your price will stay the same as when you joined. It will only change 12 months after your start date.

I’m a West End customer what does this mean for me?

Your price will increase by 50p a month to £19.40.

I pay for someone else - what does this mean for them?

As long as you continue payments, this should not impact their membership.

Does this affect my benefits as a Black Card Holder?

No - you will continue to get**

  • Free Real D 3D screenings

In addition to Preview screenings, discounted tickets for Event Cinema such as Opera, Theatre and Ballet, and Discounts at hundreds of local businesses.

**Until further notice and on production of a valid Unlimited card. 25% retail discount available on food and drink (10% on Starbucks products) purchased in cinema. IMAX and D-Box uplifts still payable. 3D glasses and VIP/Delux seating excluded. Discounts on Event Cinema screenings as available from time to time.

Do I have to change the amount of my direct debit?

You don’t need to do anything. The new price will be automatically charged from your nominated account.

How has the price of the increase been worked out?

We aim to make the monthly price of the Unlimited card equivalent to the average price across our estate of two peak adult cinema tickets. We have based the price increase on a combination of inflation rate growth and other factors affecting the cinema industry over the last two years.

Is there anything new coming to Unlimited?

We are constantly looking for ways to improve Unlimited. Currently, we are trialling new ticket machines which will allow you to book and collect your tickets directly. We are also looking at introducing e-ticketing which will let you use Unlimited tickets delivered straight to your phone.

Are other benefits changing?

We are not changing any of your benefits of being Unlimited – all Unlimited customers are still entitled to**

  • Competitions and Film news via Unlimited e-newsletters
  • Up to 50% off the ticket price for Event cinema screenings
