Six tourists get more than they bargained for in this terrifying new film from the creator of 'Paranormal Activity'.
For jaded Americans, there's a new way to explore the world and get their kicks. It's called 'extreme tourism'! Having seen the traditional sights of Europe, six young travellers decide to go off the beaten path in search of thrills. In Russia, they hire a guide to take them to the site of the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster. Ignoring warnings and armed only with a hand-held Geiger counter, the guide shows them the abandoned town of Pripyat, which was home to the workers and their families. But when night begins to fall, the party find that their van has been sabotaged. Trapped in this eerie ghost town, they soon begin to realise that they're not alone. Partly filmed in 'Cloverfield'-style found footage format, this is an atmospheric scare-fest from the fertile mind of 'Paranormal Activity' writer/director Oren Peli.
