Young orphan Vijay Dinanath Chauhan is sucked into a life of crime, eventually rising through the Bombay underworld ranks to become a powerful don. Reportedly inspired by a true-life story and the Hollywood film 'Scarface', Mukul S Anand's 1990 film is now widely regarded as a Bollywood classic. Now, more than 20 years on, producer Yash Johar's son Karan has returned to this gripping story for a homage, directed by his former assistant Karan Malhotra. Filling Amitabh Bachchan's mighty boots as Vijay is Hrithik Roshan, one of the top stars of modern Hindi cinema. Former Miss World Priyanka Chopra is the female lead. Sanjay Dutt has already caused quite a stir with his menacing new look as the film's chief villain. Also joining the cast is Rishi Kapoor, who plays another antagonist.
