Chulbul Pandey (Salman Khan) is a fearless but corrupt police officer with his own unorthodox working methods. Chulbul is tormented by bitter memories of his childhood. After his father's death, when Chulbul was a young boy, his mother Naini (Dimple Kapadia) married Prajapati (Vinod Khanna). Together, they had a son named Makhanchan (Arbaaz Khan). Prajapati favoured Makhanchan which served to alienate Chulbul. He decided to take control of his destiny by detaching himself from his stepfather and half-brother. Finally, following his mother's death, Chulbul severed all ties with Prajapati and Makhanchan. When lovely Rajo (Sonakshi Sinha) enters his world, Chulbul starts to view life more positively and to see the value of family.
