Kajol and Kareena Kapoor play rivals forced to live under the same roof in this uplifting comedy-drama.

Maya (Kajol) is the perfect mother, with her life revolving around her three children. Despite being divorced from her husband Aman (Arjun Rampal), Maya ensures that everything runs smoothly in her house. However, when Aman introduces his girlfriend Shreya (Kareena Kapoor) to the family, the situation immediately takes an unexpected turn. Shreya is a career-oriented woman who has a lot to learn about children. However, when an unforeseen incident changes their lives drastically, the two women are brought under the same roof. Now they find themselves putting to the test an unusual notion - can two mothers make a home? Forced to make some unorthodox choices for her family, Maya has to confront her uneasy relationship with Shreya and find a way to bring everyone together. Despite their differences, can they still say 'We are family'?
