Aarya whips up a storm of passion with newcomer Amy Jackson in this pre-independence tale of forbidden love between an Indian man and an English woman.
With Madarasapattinam director AL Vijay ('Kreedam', 'Poi Solla Porom') sets out to evoke the magic of Madras (now Chennai). With vintage cars, costumes and other period details, the film is a faithful recreation of Madras in the early 1940s. The music, scored by GV Prakash Kumar, has already created waves while visuals are handled by acclaimed lensman Nirav Shah. After his phenomenal performance in 'Naan Kadavul', Aarya takes an exciting new starring role in the film, appearing opposite British beauty Amy Jackson (winner of Miss Teen World). Taking place in Washermanpet, this is the story of an ordinary dhobi, who also happens to be a wrestling champion, and the British Governor's daughter who falls in love with him. In pre-Independence times, their love is a threat to the authorities...
