Just days after the grisly events depicted in The Descent, Sarah is forced to return underground to once again face the terrifying, flesh-eating 'Crawlers' that slaughtered her friends.
A search is underway for Juno (Natalie Mendoza) and her five friends, missing on a caving expedition in the Appalachian Mountains. The rescue team face a daunting task, as Juno (Natalie Mendoza) decided to make the girls' weekend more challenging by leading them into an uncharted cave system. When a severely traumatised woman caked in blood and dirt is found on a remote road, she is identified as Sarah Carter (Shauna Macdonald), one of the missing girls. Sheriff Vaines and Deputy Elen Rios (Krysten Cummings) question Sarah, to no avail. Determined to find the other girls, Sheriff Vaines insists that Sarah joins the rescue team. They descend into the mine where Sarah surfaced and set off to discover what really went on down in those eerie caves...
