A young couple get more than they bargained for when they investigate the noises they hear in the night.
Carefree young couple Katie and Micah experience strange happenings in their home as things start to go bump in the dark. Could it be the work of a poltergeist? Or is there a more mundane explanation for what's going on? Katie believes she's been haunted since she was a child, so has no problem reaching a supernatural conclusion for their current problem. Micah, however, is a lot more sceptical and decides to set up a video camera to record what happens while they sleep - which is something he may live to regret. First-time director Oren Peli really knows how to pile on the chills - with its improvised performances and found-footage feel, Paranormal Activity is so downright creepy you may just catch yourself wanting to sleep with the light on!
