Corn dogs and cute girls await a college grad on his summer job at Adventureland.
The director of Superbad takes us back to the summer of 1987 and college graduate James Brennan (Jesse Eisenberg) is putting the final touches to his backpacking excursion across Europe. But then his parents (Jack Gilpin, Wendie Malick) announce that they can no longer afford to fund the trip so James is forced to trash his plans and take a low-paid job at a rundown local amusement park. Unhappily ensconced in the 'games' section (way less cool than working the rides) and doing his best to avoid pushy parents and spewing children, things start looking up when cute co-worker Em (Kristen Stewart) invites James to her pool party... What could have been his worst summer ever turns into an unforgettable experience as James learns all about life, girls and why you should never eat corn dogs.
