Chilling tale of a family's encounter with the afterlife, based on a true story.
The Campbells are your regular cookie-cutter family who relocate to upstate Connecticut after son Matt (Kyle Gallner) is diagnosed with cancer. When mom Sara (Viriginia Madsen) finds the perfect house, she figures there must be a catch. And she's right - the house, she's told, has 'a bit of a history', but Sara goes ahead and moves the family in anyway.
It's not long before strange things start occurring in the Campbell household. Doors slam of their own volition, the contents of the fridge go bad and the ghostly image of a boy keeps popping up whenever Matt is around. More than a little perplexed, the kids discover that the house does indeed have a disturbing past. The former funeral parlour was used for sv?ances with the owner's clairvoyant son Jonah used as a gateway to the other side. And now he's back for more...
