Three teenagers acquire incredible superpowers, but soon learn the downside of their amazing gift.

What would you do if you suddenly found you'd been blessed with mind-boggling telekinetic abilities? For teenage schoolfriends Andrew (Dane Dehaan), Matt (Alex Russell) and Steve (Michael B. Jordan), the answer is obvious: - have a lot of fun! Naturally, they decide to chronicle their prankstering using a camcorder, howling with laughter as they scare a child by bringing a teddy bear to life and take control of a leaf-blower to lift girls' skirts. As the trio's powers continue to grow, they find that they can even move cars using their minds alone. But this also unleashes the dark side in Andrew, and it's not long before events start to spiral out of control. Written by 'An American Werewolf in London' director John Landis's talented son Max, this mind-blowing cautionary tale is told in edgy, 'Cloverfield'-style found footage format.

When a nervous man steps onto a ledge twenty storeys above the streets of New York City, passers by stop to stare. The police are quickly on the scene and identify him as fugitive ex-cop Nick Cassidy (Sam Worthington), who was convicted of stealing a $40m diamond from David Englander (Ed Harris). Negotiator Lydia Anderson (Elizabeth Banks) is sent in to talk him down. But as crowds gather and the media start to report live from the scene, Cassidy reveals that this is all a ruse to distract attention. He claims to be innocent of the crime and that the diamond never left Englander's heavily fortified vault. And to prove it, a crack team led his brother Joey (Jamie Bell) are breaking in to steal it. Versatile stars Sam Worthington and Jamie Bell cement their action-man credentials in this clever heist movie with a twist.

One of the year's most original films - a charming tale of two actors set during the silent movie era.

It's 1927, and suave, moustachioed matinee idol George Valentin (Jean Dujardin) is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood. He's dashing, he's just a little arrogant, and his romantic swashbucklers have women swooning. But silent movies are about to be washed away by new-fangled talkies. When studio boss Zimmer (John Goodman) offers him a chance to steal a march on his rivals in this exciting new format, Valentin rejects it out of hand in favour of his own epic silent project. Alas, this proves to be a flop. But as Valentin's life falls apart and his star wanes, the young actress whose career he nurtured, Peppy Miller (Berenice Bejo), finds hers in the ascendant. A heartfelt love letter to Hollywood's silent era, writer/director Michel Hazanavicius's lovely film is even filmed in black and white without dialogue!

Kate Winslet and Jodie Foster star in a blistering black comedy exposing the tensions that lurk behind middle class manners.

In an expensive Brooklyn apartment, two sets of parents have gathered to address a case of playground bullying involving their young sons. Initially, the atmosphere is one of polite self-congratulation as politically-correct writer Penelope Longstreet (Jodie Foster) observes that only people as civilised as themselves could resolve the situation amicably. But tensions are already building between Penelope, her salesman husband Michael (John C. Reilly) and their guests - sarcastic, distracted lawyer Alan Cowan (Christoph Waltz) and his neurotic banker wife Nancy (Kate Winslet). Gender, class and politics supply the battle lines, fine malt whisky lubricates the hostilities - and there's no going back when Nancy vomits all over Penelope's fine art books! Shot in a French studio, Oscar-winning director Roman Polanski's adaptation of Yasmina Reza's acclaimed stage play unfolds in real time over 80 wickedly-funny minutes.

Meryl Streep stars in this revealing portrait of legendary British prime minister Margaret Thatcher.

As a politician, she divided the nation, but in 1979 grocer's daughter Margaret Thatcher burst through barriers of class and gender to become the UK's first female prime minister. She was aided by loyal strategist Gordon Reece, who shaped Thatcher's image and guided her campaign - even advising her to lower her voice to sound more like a leader. 'The Iron Lady' is a surprising and remarkably personal account of Thatcher's rise to power, with an extraordinary central performance by Meryl Streep. Directed by Phyllida Lloyd (who previously directed Streep in the phenomenally popular musicl comedy 'Mamma Mia!'), the film revisits many of the key episodes in the former PM's career. Its outstanding cast includes Roger Allam as Reece, Jim Broadbent as Maggie's husband Denis, Anthony Head as Geoffrey Howe and Richard E. Grant as Michael Heseltine.
