Cineworld E-ticketing Is Here!
Where can I use e-ticketing?
From the 5th of September Cineworld began trialling e-ticketing at eight of its cinemas. As of Friday 15 November e-ticketing has rolled out across the whole of the estate! You are now simply able to scan and enter pre-booked tickets on your way into the screen.
How does e-ticketing work?
1. Book online
Book your tickets online as usual and your confirmation email will contain a QR code.
2. Show your QR code
If you show this QR code on your mobile screen or on a print out at drop-box (where your tickets get torn on the way into the screen), our staff member will scan your code and you, along with anyone else included in your booking can walk straight into your screening.
Passbook for iPhone
If you have Passbook on your iPhone you can save your e-ticket to your Passbook app, it will make your e-ticket appear on your home screen 20 minutes before your film starts so it's easy to find and a handy reminder.
- Food and Drink
- If you have food or drink items, or 3D glasses included in your booking (selected cinemas only) you must collect your food items first before you can enter the screen. Alternatively, you can print the vouchers off at one of our kiosks and save the food and drink vouchers and 3D glasses vouchers for another day.
- Ticket Collection
- You may still collect printed tickets before your screening at the counter or kiosks if you prefer. If you do so, your e-ticket / QR code will no longer work and you will need to use the collected tickets to access your film.
- Unfortunately the technology is not up to speed for our favourite customers.
We are working on a fix and hope to be able to offer e-tickets for our
Unlimited members ASAP!
