It is with great regret that we are writing to let you know that Cineworld Cambridge will cease to be a Cineworld Cinema from Friday 30 January 2015. We have been forced to do this due to the ruling of the Competition Commission. We have loved being able to show fantastic movies since May 2004, a month which saw the third instalment of Harry Potter, Kill Bill vol.2 and Mean Girls. Since then we’ve shown thousands of films to millions of film fans. We will be very sad to leave.
Although we are leaving, we wanted to make sure that you will still be able to enjoy cinema in Cambridge. The Light Cinema, who will take over the Cineworld Cambridge site immediately after we close have agreed to accept Unlimited cards for a 3 month period from 30 January 2015 when they take over. We are very pleased that they have agreed to let you continue to enjoy film at the same cinema you know and love. But remember, you can still use your Unlimited card any time at Cineworlds Haverhill, St Neots, Huntingdon, Bury St Edmunds and Stevenage.
To get your tickets for The Light Cinemas, just turn up at the box office on the day of the screening, food and drink discounts will still apply for the 3 months. See The Light Cinemas website for full T&C’s.
